Cade Samons is entering his third year of teaching and his first in Keller ISD. Prior to coming to Fossil Ridge, he served as Asisstant Band Director for Anderson County Bands in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, and as the Assistant Marching Band Director for Boyle County High School in Danville, Kentucky.

Mr. Samons graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2022 with a bachelor's degree in Music Education where he studied horn with Dr. Margaret Tung. During his time at UK, Cade was a member of the UK concert band, symphonic band, philharmonic, symphonic orchestra, and the "Horn Cats" horn choir.

An active supporter and of the marching arts, Mr. Samons marched mellophone for the Music City Drum and Bugle Corps in 2017, and the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from 2018 through 2021 where he aged out as a mellophone section leader. Currently he works for the Blue Stars admin team as an assistant tour manager.

When he's not teaching, Mr. Samons enjoys cooking, playing games, and watching his favorite teams (UK Basketball and the Dallas Stars) compete.
